September 11, 2001, remembered
A service commemorating the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States was held at Victory Baptist Church on Sunday, September 10, 2006. Representatives from Wilkes County law enforcement, emergency management, and emergency services were present for the service and were honored for their part in serving this area. The representatives spoke during the Sunday School hour and also entertained questions from the congregation. A dinner following the service further honored the representatives who are shown above with Victory Baptist Church Pastor Jimmy Chapman.
