Washington Little Theater Co. makes plans for 'Shelby's Wedding Reception' Sept. 30 A beautiful reception at Wisteria Hall is planned for the afternoon of September 30. Shelby, who has her wedding in the Washington Little Theater production of "Steel Magnolias," will be honored at the late afternoon festive gathering and everyone is invited. If you saw the play or the movie, you know you're in for a treat. The matinee that day will be at 3 p.m. at The Playhouse on North Alexander Avenue. Following the performance, the reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. There are four other performances of the play, so if you cannot attend the Saturday matinee you can still attend the reception and go to the play another time. The cost of the play is $10.00 (or used your membership card) and $5.00 for children 12 and under, and the reception is $7.50 for all. Reservations for the reception are required and should be made by Saturday, September 23, by calling the Little Theater reservations line at 706-678-9582. Tickets may be picked up at The Playhouse on Monday, September 25, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and on Wednesday, September 27, between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. No reservations will be taken for the reception after September 23. Reservations for the performances will be taken up to the day of the show.
