Washington Personal Mention Mr. and Mrs. Steve Blackmon spent several days in Thomasville with Raymond Hughes and were there to attend the funeral services on Friday for his mother, Mrs. Doris Sutton Hughes, who died in Thomasville on September 7. Many in Washington will remember Mr. Hughes as choir director and organist at the First United Methodist Church in Washington. He presently serves as Chorus Master for the Metropolitan Opera Chorus. +Weekend guests of Trevin and Tracie Burriss, Payton, Thomas, and Anne Marie, were Steve and Brenda Hunton of Waleska and Jake Miles of Cumming. +Mr. and Mrs. Brian Baldwin were in Evanston, Ill., last weekend to accompany their son, Joseph, to begin his freshman year at Northwestern University. Daughter Laura Baldwin returned to her studies at the Medical College of Georgia School of Nursing in Augusta Sunday. +Joe Randall and sons, Jake and Griffin, of Atlanta visited during the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Randall Jr. +Mrs. Charles Reese is home after an extended trip with family. She enjoyed several days at Lake Toxaway, N.C., with Mr. and Mrs. Mike Reese and joined in a celebration honoring her and Mrs. Mike Reese's birthdays. From there she spent two weeks in Augusta with her grandson Joe Reese. She also enjoyed a long weekend with her sister, Mrs. Charles Henderson, in the Beulah community and attended the Rhodes reunion.
+Rev. and Mrs. Chris Townsend, Garston and Henry, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Townsend of Atlanta were in Kitty Hawk, N.C., over the weekend where Rev. Townsend officiated the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Buda. +Daniel Newsome of Macon visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Sparky Newsome and Molly. All were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Smythe Newsome for a birthday dinner honoring Smythe Newsome. Other guests were Lizzie Newsome and Justin Holmes of Athens and Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Randall Jr.
