Hunter Durham celebrates first birthday Sept. 9

Hunter Lee Durham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Durham of Washington, celebrated his first birthday on Saturday, September 9, with a dinner and party.

Hunter was treated to a Happy First Birthday party theme carried out with his Happy First Birthday picture cake and other Happy Birthday decorations. He also had a small birthday cake topped with a "1" candle. Chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream were enjoyed with the cake after a bountiful dinner.

Dinner included barbecued pork meat and barbecued chicken prepared by his daddy and uncle, Ryan Hite; Brunswick stew made by his Papa, Dan Durham; potato salad made by aunt, Mrs. Ed Durham Jr.; baked beans and pea salad prepared by his Nana, Mrs. Dan Durham; coleslaw and tea made by his Memaw, Mrs. Linda Phillips; bread and a variety of drinks.

Many enjoyed playing football while others gathered for a time of fellowship.

Goody bags were given to all the children.

Celebrating with Hunter and his parents were his maternal grandparents, Mrs. Linda Phillips of Augusta and Ted Ambrose of Rayle, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Durham of Washington; paternal great-grandfather, Ed Durham of Washington; great-aunt, Mrs. Patricia Henderson of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. James Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Acuna, Chrisopher and Mathew, Mr. and Mrs. Frankey Hogan and Angel, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Hite and Will, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Durham, Jr., Nathan and Levi, Tony Hamilton, Mrs. Claudette Cobb, Buddy Cobb, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Swann, Morgan, Kyle and Bryson, Thomas Ambrose, Ciara and Chloe Smith, Dylan and Joshua Cobb and Scott Smith of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Shedd and Sara and Mrs. Karen Bowen and David of Rayle.
