Mark's Tabernacle Baptist Church will celebrate its pastor's second anniversary on Sunday, October 1, at 2 p.m. Bishop Dante Smith of Booker's Chapel Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. Dinner will follow at the Third Shiloh building.

The fifth Saturday Amen Breakfast (men's breakfast) at the Ebenezer Baptist Church will be held Saturday, September 30, at 8 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. There is no charge and all are welcome.

Mt. Carmel Baptist Church will be celebrating its annual youth day Sunday, October 8k 2 pm. Natalie Williams, teacher I Clayton County, will be the speaker.

The Wilkes Sunday School Union's anniversary will be celebrated Sunday, October 1, 4 p.m., at Springfield Baptist Church.

Danburg Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, October 8, 10:15 a.m. Revival services will be held Monday, October 9, through Wednesday, October 11, 7:30 p.m. Rev. Elton Lawson will be the speaker.

The Old School Reunion will meet Saturday, October 14, 11:30 a.m., at the Third Shiloh Center, 219 McLendon Drive, Washington.

The Wilkes County Board of Health will meet Friday, October 20, 11 a.m., at the Wilkes County Health Center on Hospital Drive.

The Washington Presbyterian Church will have its annual Fall Special Services October 15-17. The Sunday evening service on October 15 will begin with a covered dish supper at 6 p.m., and the worship service at 7 p.m. Services on October 16 and 17 will begin at 7 p.m.

Tabor Baptist Church will have revival services October 22-25, 7 p.m. Sunday morning services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Homecoming will be Sunday, October 22, 10:30 a.m.

Sardis Baptist Church at Rayle will have a special concert of gospel music on Sunday evening, October 1, at 7 p.m. "Forgiven," a gospel singing group from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, will present the concert which is free to anyone interested in attending. Rev. John Mark Carpenter, pastor of Sardis, and the congregation invite the public to attend.

Lyonsville Baptist Church will have its first youth explosion program October 8, 2:30 p.m. All youth are invited to present their talents and show other kids how they have fun in Jesus Christ. The Wills Memorial Hospital Lunch and Learn will be Thursday, September 28, 12 noon, in the hospital library. Dr. D. Scott Lind from the Medical College of Georgia, will speak on breast cancer surgical procedures.

Booker's Chapel Baptist Church's Men's Ministry will hold a men's conference entitled "Men Reaching Beyond the Church Walls" on Saturday, September 30, 11 a.m. The conference will address issues that are facing families from the young to the old. Even though it is a men's conference, everyone is invited, especially youth groups.

The Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Celebrity Waiters Dinner to benefit Wills Memorial Hospital will be Tuesday, October 10, 7 p.m., at the W-WCHS Cafeteria. The Wilkes County Board of Registrars will meet Thursday, September 21, Room 323, in the Wilkes County Courthouse at 10 a.m.

The annual I'd Rather Be In Tignall Fall Festival will be held on the old school grounds in Tignall on Saturday, November 4, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Clifford Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, will celebrate the pastor's first anniversary October 1, at 3 p.m. Rev. Eddie Thornton of Flat Rock Church in Hartwell will be the speaker.

The First United Methodist Church, Washington, will have a Fall Church Bazaar Friday, October 6, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Saturday, October 7, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., at the corner of Spring Street and Liberty Street.

Friends of the Mary Willis Library will meet Thursday, October 19, 3 p.m., in the conference room at the library. The program will feature the new library director, Lillie Crowe, and her staff.

Samaria Temple COGIC will celebrate the pastor's sixth anniversary Sunday, October 1, 3:30 p.m. The speaker will be Bishop Mark Walden of the House of God in Thomson.

True Light Church will have a missionary program October 15, 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Kim Leverett of the Pauline's Chapel FBH Church.

Transforming Life Ministries will sponsor the annual "Hallowed Be Thy Name" Youth Worship Service on Sunday, October 29, 4 p.m., at the Third Shiloh Center. This year's event will feature youth talent in song, music, dance, and literature. Anyone interested in participating should contact Amethyst Wynn at 706- 678-5492. Hot wings and fried fish with sides will be served along with various sweet treats. Food and candy donations are solicited.

Pope's Chapel United Methodist Church, Tignall Charge, will have its 50th annual homecoming on Sunday, October 1, at 11:15 a.m. All former members, family, and friends are invited to celebrate the day.

American Legion Post 194, Lincolnton, will present the Coastline Band with Jim Quick for a dance on Saturday, October 14, 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. The band has been named the Carolina Beach Music Entertainer of the year five times and is also winner of the 2005 Blues Single of the Year and
