GSP investigates September accidents

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated three traffic crashes during the month of September in Wilkes County.

Sergeant First Class Derrick Durden said the traffic crashes resulted in seven injuries. There were no traffic deaths.

SFC Durden said troopers from Post 17 also issued 137 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes four arrests for driving under the influence; 82 citations for speeding; 22 seat belt violations; and one child restraint violation.

Troopers also issued 231 warnings.
