The Courtground School Reunion will be Sunday at 1 p.m. Anyone interested is invited to attend. It is a covered dish affair. A surprise and interesting entertainment program has been planned and you will not want to miss it. I had reported that Brian George would be the guest speaker, but due to a previous commitment he cannot come. The Rayle Ramble will be Saturday, October 14, so plan to come out and have a good time with your family and friends. Tickets for barbecued chicken plates are being sold; approximately 20 vendors with food and crafts and all kinds of things on sale; a country store; many games for children and the young at heart; dune buggy rides; music and singing including country and gospel; bingo; and many other things are planned. The "Forgiven" trio of Indiana put on a fantastic program as they sang many beautiful gospel songs Sunday evening at Sardis Baptist Church. They delighted a large crowd from Wilkes and surrounding counties with their music and singing. Bryson Lamar Porter was one year old on his birthday, October 26. He was treated to a hotdog supper by his parents, Brooke Berry and Demetrice Porter, Saturday at the home of his grandparents, Lamar and Kay Berry, and Trey. Other special guests besides his parents, grandparents, and uncle, attending included his great-great-grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Arnold, and great-grandmother, Mrs. Bonnie Boatwright, and grandmother, Mrs. Rosemary Gresham. Bryson's special friend, Jadene, and many other special relatives and friends also attended. Frankie Jones of Athens; Martha Jones of Bogart; and Connie Gamble of Augusta visited Lamar and Kay Berry, Brooke and Trey, Kaitlyn and Bryson, Saturday afternoon,

coming especially for Bryson Porter's birthday celebration. Faye Johnson, Kim and Aaliya Berry, Faye Thornton, Julie Berry, Demario Porter, and Bill Humphrey also came to help Bryson celebrate his birthday Saturday. Rev. and Mrs. John Mark Carpenter enjoyed Sunday dinner with Charles and Nina Boatwright. Mrs. Faye Johnson and friend, Brandon King of Gray, spent the weekend with Mrs. Ruby Arnold. Spending the weekend with Mrs. Annie Blanche Vaughn were Tucker and Brenda Vaughn of Martinez. Penny Vaughn came Sunday evening and attended the singing at Sardis with Annie Blanch. Gail Stewart and Ava Wright spent Saturday morning with Johnny and Kathryn Shedd. Alyssa Stewart also visited with her grandparents.

Alyssa Stewart came home from Augusta State University for the weekend with her parents, Tim and Gail Stewart. Cecil and Myrtis Scoggin of Clinton, S.C., and Wilbur and Gladys Clark came and spent Thursday with Ralph and Elizabeth Smith. They brought dinner for all of them. While they were here, Mary Burt of Washington and Shirley Chafin visited. Charlie Arnold of Athens and Bobby and Sandra Arnold of Winterville came Friday. Denise Roberts and children also visited. Buddy and Joy Boatwright came Saturday evening and took Ralph out for a ride. Lee Hicks took Ralph for a ride Sunday morning. Barry and Dana Echols of Ballground spent the weekend with Fred Corbett. Bonnie Boatwright, Frankie Jones and Martha Jones enjoyed spending Thursday in Commerce. Avery Hall spent Friday and Friday night with Clyde and Sandy Whittington. They went to Crawford to visit Neil and Kim Frankel, Zachery and Kyle, and enjoyed a pizza supper with them. George and Ann Wideman's visitors have been Leeman Stewart, Gene Winfrey, Buster Winfrey, James, David and Mathew Wideman. George and Ann went to Washington to Wilkes Health Care Center where they visited Mrs. Laura Hester, Mrs. Mary Wright, and Mrs. Dot Hardy. David and Margie Randall attended revival at Mallorysville one night and enjoyed hearing Rev. Paul Reviere and seeing some friends that they haven't seen in a long time. Rebecca Armour spent Thursday night with Mrs. Frances Fendley. Daniella, Dominique, Ishima, Trinity, Greg Jr., and Raeleigh also visited their great-grandmother during the weekend. Angela Armour, Samantha, Cody, and Hunter, Taylor Echols, Scott and Sissy Smith, J.T. and Abby, and

Richard and Lou Heart and Mattie visited and had Sunday dinner with Buck and Linda Echols. David and Margie Randall and James Randall went to the Washington Little Theater to see "Steel Magnolias" and really enjoyed it. Bonnie Boatwright, Margaret Peterman and J.W. and Kathleen Canup went to Elberton Tuesday afternoon where they enjoyed playing bingo at Wendy's with their friends there. The prayer list includes Fred Corbett, Stephanie Chapman, Seba Williamson, Pete Poss, Kathryn Padgett, Mike Webb, Ellie Frey, Helen Cowart, Roberta Roper, Marshall Sherrer, Thomas Wheatley, George Wideman, Dorothy Callaway, Jerry Wilson, Bobby Parton, Gary Rogers, Charles Bradford, Judy Paul, Sara Lynn Hyatt, Thomas Bunch and all the sick and bereaved.
