'I'd Rather Be In Tignall' Festival will be held on Sat., November 4

The fifth annual "I'd Rather Be In Tignall" Fall Festival will be held Saturday, November 4.

Members of the North Wilkes Steering Committee, sponsors and coordinators of the festival, invite everyone to attend and experience a fall festival of quality with arts, crafts, old-fashioned cake walk, bingo, hayrides, petting zoo, pony rides, live music including cloggers from South Carolina, moonwalk/ slide, striker putting green, candy corn contest, face painting, spinning demonstration, kids fashion show at 10:30 a.m., announcement of the winners of the gingerbread house contest, and lots of food.

There will also be door prizes, including some cash prizes, raffle for a beautiful quilt made by the Homemakers Club and a beautiful hooked rug made by Margaret Fortson. There will be T-shirts, caps, visors and Tignall ornaments from the previous years for sale.

If people will send in their old photos, they will also be on display. Don't miss this day of fun from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. on the campus of the old Tignall School.

There is no admission charge. Anyone wanting an application for space at the festival for crafts or food, just call 285-2058 or 285- 2736.
