We had good services at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. Rev. Martin's message was from Psalm 139, and he sang a beautiful special called "Follow Me." Communion was also observed. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary Tuesday, September 26. They went to Athens. Her brother, Philip Huff, met them at Ryan's for lunch. After lunch they went to his home for a short visit. Mrs. Philip Huff, her mother Mrs. Mazel Wolfe, her niece, Lyn Land, and their friend, Mrs. Betty Jean Guin, left Sunday morning to go to Gatlinburg to attend the tenth annual Jubilee Conference held at the convention center there. It began Monday morning and went through Wednesday evening. There were well-known speakers and famous singers and musicians who entertained them. Around 6,000 attended each service. They had a wonderful time and returned home Thursday. We are so happy and thankful that Mrs. Juanita Bradford had a good report from the tests her doctor in Augusta made last week. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis during the week were Mrs. Virginia Witcraft of Raytown; Gerald Davis of Lincolnton; and Lane Davis of Thomson. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Blaine of Dahlonega visited Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Bill Scoggins, Hannah and Stephanie of Augusta spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis. Visiting Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Coryer Poss and Mr. and Mrs. Larry McPherson. Mrs. Justin Turner and Harrison of Elberton spent Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Iris Dyson. Mrs. Iris Dyson joined Mr. and Mrs. Mac Blankenship of Commerce and went to Augusta Wednesday to attend the funeral of their first cousin, Irene Dangler, at
