Round Table hears of Confederate Orphan Brigade
Dr. Carol Crowe Carraco, (left) was welcomed by Washington Civil War Round Table officers Carol Cartledge and President Claibourne Darden Monday night for her talk to the Round Table on the Orphan Brigade. Dr. Carraco told the tale of the 4,000-man 1st Kentucky Brigade that fought in several battles through the war, and eventually disbanded in Washington after the South's surrender. The Washington Civil War Round Table meets the last Monday evening of each month at The Fitzpatrick Hotel.
