School Bus Safety Week celebrated
Students in the fourth and fifth grades at Washington-Wilkes Elementary School participated in the 2006 School Bus Safety Poster Contest in observance of Georgia School Bus Safety Week, September 18-22. One winner was chosen from each homeroom. From these winners, one winner will be chosen to compete in the statewide contest. This year's theme was "Be Aware! Cross with Care." The top photo shows the fifth grade winners who are Brendan Dukes, Mary Katherine Strother, Maricela Rodriguez, Mattlyn Renew, and Doneishia Booker. The bottom photo shows the fourth grade winners who are Molly Barrow, Cristan Chafin, Hope Ward, Jamille Ferrell, and Kasey Gowan.
