Troop 34 canoes Savannah River
Boy Scouts of Troop 34 recently canoed the Savannah River on September 16th. The Scouts entered the Savannah River in Richmond County and traveled 25 miles along the river to Hancock Landing in Burke County. During the trip the Scouts worked on their canoeing skills and also picked up trash that was floating in the river. They camped overnight at the family home of David and Cliff Hargrove who provided a scenic camping spot on the bluff of Hancock Landing. Participating in the canoe trip were (kneeling, l-r) Jake Buffington, Vincent Price, (standing) Cody Denard, Shane Denard, Watson Buffington, Mason Claus, Walker Hargrove, Will Price, Doug Standard, Adam Standard, Jesse Denard, (back row) Tommy Klaus, Bobby Standard, David Jenkins, and Cliff Hargrove.
