Doris Maddox

A memorial service for Doris (Dot) Maddox, 81, of Winder was held Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with Dr. John Talley officiating. She died Monday, October 2.

Mrs. Maddox was born in Columbiana, Ala., and was the daughter of the late Tom and Willie Mae Spruell Lovett. She was the widow of Dustin Maddox and was a member of the Winder First Baptist Church where she had served as a hostess.

Survivors include two daughters, Marty M. Fincher and Lenny M. Bentley of Washington; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
