Kaitlyn Porter celebrates third birthday Sept. 16

Kaitlyn Nicole Porter, daughter of Brooke Berry and Demetrice Porter, was three years old on Saturday, September 16, and celebrated on several occasions.

Kaitlyn celebrated on September 15 with her teachers and friends at FunShine Day Care. They enjoyed pizza, cake, Cheetos, Dora popsicles and drink boxes. Each child received a Dora goody bag.

Kaitlyn was also honored on Friday, September 15, with a trip to the Washington-Wilkes and Lincoln County football game by her parents where she enjoyed cheering and rooting the Tigers to victory.

On Saturday, September 16, Kaitlyn was treated to a Dora the Explorer party by her parents at the home of her grandparents, Lamar and Kay Berry, in Rayle. The party area was festively decorated with balloons and Dora decorations. Her Dora cake was enjoyed with Cheetos, chips and dip, ice cream and punch. The children had fun riding Kaitlyn's new Dora scooter, a gift from her parents. Each child received a Dora goody bag.

Celebrating with Kaitlyn and her parents were her grandmothers, Kay Berry and RoseMary Gresham; great-grandmother, Bonnie Boatwright, great-great-grandmother, Ruby Arnold; Trey Berry, Kim Berry and Aaliya, Maddie Gunter, Jeremiah Fry, Faye Thornton, Mario Gresham and Mia Smith. 10-12-1p
