Black Sheep, parents remembered
Michael Horgan remembered his parents with the presentation of a program of anecdotes and memorabilia about the famous World War II Marine Black Sheep Squadron of which his father, Lt. Col. Thonas Horgan, was a member. He showed many photographs, medals, and books, and displayed a detailed model (shown above) of the gull-winged Corsair, which the fighter pilots flew. Horgan explained that his father was later assigned to duty in Korea where, injured, he met the Navy nurse, Marion, that would later become his wife and mother of eight children.
