What a weekend we experienced as college football in the South reached the halfway point. Some questions were answered, but many were not, like: "Who is going to play QB for Georgia?" "Can Auburn bounce back after an embarrassing loss to Arkansas?" "How good is Arkansas?" "Will Clemson and Georgia Tech meet in the ACC title game?" These questions and many others will be answered in the coming weeks as the second half of the 2006 season gets under way.

There are some great match-ups this weekend. Let's take a look at these and other games to be played across the South.

Florida over Auburn by 7 - This is definitely not a sure thing. Auburn is too good to roll over for the Gators.

LSU over Kentucky by 17 - The Bengal Tigers must avoid a letdown following the loss in the Swamp or Kentucky will make them pay.

Alabama over Ole Miss by 14 - The Tide tunes up for Tennessee by trouncing one of the weakest teams in the SEC.

Georgia over Vandy by 17 - Even without consistent play at QB the Dawgs are too strong for the Commodores.

Virginia Tech over Boston College by 3 - Special teams will decide this otherwise dead even contest tonight.

Maryland over Virginia by 8 - The Terps gave Georgia Tech all they wanted last Saturday while Virginia was getting popped by East Carolina.

FSU over Duke by 25 - Duke hung in with Alabama for a half, but don't look for that to happen again this week. FSU needs a conference win in the worst way and will be sufficiently motivated.

Clemson over Temple by 42 - The Tigers are on a roll and Temple is, well, Temple.

Upset: Wake Forest over N.C. State by 4 - The Demon Deacons shake off the loss to Clemson to become bowl eligible.
