Caring attitude at WMH provides comfort

TO THE EDITOR:

Recently our mother, Mary Rogers, was a patient in Wills Memorial Hospital for six weeks. She was admitted in fairly stable condition but her condition worsened quickly until her death.

Her condition did not worsen because of her care. It was the disease process.

We were very pleased with her care from all departments of the hospital. She even liked the hospital food.

The caring attitude of the entire staff was so evident that we felt very comfortable. We are pleased that Washington and the surrounding area have that facility.

We even had two occasions to meet some of the specialists from the Medical College of Georgia and were so very grateful they were there so as to save her two trips out of town for medical care.

Dr. Williams was on duty in the emergency room when she developed an urgent situation requiring emergency care and he took excellent care of her in addition to attending to our family's emotional needs.

The community cared for us during her illness and death in true Wilkes County fashion and we are most grateful for every prayer, call, visit, dish, flower and encouraging thought. PATRICIA STOWE,

JANICE HOPKINS
