Pompey's Chapel to hold annual 'Friends and Family Day' Sunday

Pompey's Chapel Baptist Church, Washington, will have its annual Friends and Family Day on Sunday, November 5, 2:30 p.m.

The guest speaker will be Pastor Darnell A. Brantley, pastor of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Thomson.

Rev. Brantley was ordained in 1999 at the First African Missionary Baptist Church in Kingland, under the pastorate of Dr. E.L. Hart. He served as pastor of the First Bryant Missionary Baptist Church in Brunswick in 2002 and at the age of 24 became the youngest pastor in Glynn County.

While in Brunswick he held the office of Glynn County Chairman of the 11th District of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia.

Rev. W.R. Ferrell, pastor of Pompey's Chapel, extends and invitation to the public to attend the service.
