Presents a 'state of the city' address
Mike Eskew (right), Washington's City Administrator, was the guest speaker at the regular meeting of the Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, November 7. He discussed the $1.156 million construction renovation at the Pope Center on Lexington Avenue and gave members an update on the rationale and details of the renovation. He also briefly discussed the solicitation for a feasibility study regarding a community swimming pool; updated members on the City's budget process; and touched on gas, coal, and nuclear electric power generation consumption pros and cons. Mark Waters was the program host for the day.
