Amy Lannae guest of honor at shower on Nov. 4 Amy Lannae, bride-elect of John Broadnax III of Athens, was entertained at a miscellaneous shower on Saturday afternoon, November 4, given by Mrs. William C. Johnson, Mrs. Charles Adair, Mrs. Buddy Lindsey and Mrs. Ben Bell at the Johnson home on East Robert Toombs Avenue. The bride-elect was lovely in a chic Doncaster suit complemented by a corsage of Alstroemeria lilies. Guests greeted Miss Lannae and her hostesses and were invited into the living room to register in her bride's book. Stems of Fuji chrysanthemums decorated the living room. A delicious assortment of party foods and hot apple cider punch were served from silver appointments in the dining room where the table, overlaid in a white cloth, was centered with an elegant arrangement of Rubrum lilies. The hostesses presented the brideelect a dinner plate in her formal china. Mrs. Johnson's granddaughter, Brittany Guin, assisted the hostesses.
Fifty guests were invited. Special guests attending included members of the bride-elect's family, Mrs. Tommy Wells, Mrs. Lamont Lannae and Mrs. Tom Wells of Washington, Mrs. Herb Cole of LaFayette, Mrs. Kerry Herndon of Athens; his family, Mrs. John Broadnax Jr. and Mrs. Pete Brown of Athens; and out-oftown guests, Katie Keith of Athens, Frances McLean of St. Simons Island, and Mrs. Brian Meister of Harlem.
