C. Carol Cartledge enjoyed a gingerbread house decorating party Saturday in Mountain City given by Carol Edwards Turner and Joy Edwards Hawk at Mrs. Turner's "pond house" then a spend-the-night party Saturday night at Mrs. Turner's mountaintop main home. Friends from Franklin, N.C., Athens, Dublin and Atlanta also attended. +Thursday night guests of Betty Slaton and Marion Slaton were Bea McGowan, Helen Dixon and Father David Dye of Atlanta. They were in Washington as a part of a tour group from Mary Our Queen Catholic Church in Norcross.
