'Around the House' shower honors Amberly Aycock

Amberly Aycock, bride-elect of Phil Roberts, was guest of honor an "Around the House" shower on Sunday, November 5, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Clyborne Simpsonville, S.C. Hostesses for the occasion were Kelly Clyborne and Ann Bean, college friends and sorority sisters of Miss Aycock.

The bride-elect was lovely in an outfit of black tweed slacks and black sweater. She was presented corsage of white sweetheart roses.

A crystal vase of rosebud clusters centered the dining room table from which guests enjoyed chicken salad sandwiches, poppy seed cake, chewy bars, cheese ball, chocolatedipped strawberries, croissants, nuts, raisins and punch.

Party favors were flowers from the centerpiece.

Out-of-town guests attending included the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. Marion Aycock of Lincolnton; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. James Roberts of Washington; Mrs. John Spratlin and Mrs. James Mattison of Lincolnton.
