Be an Angel for someone this year
"It's not too late to select an angel from the community Angel Tree at at First United Methodist Church." Denise Moore, (l) Director of Children's Ministries, and Rev. Gail Seibert, the church pastor, admire the beginnings of gifts brought in for Angel Tree. "Each paper angel represents a Wilkes Co. child identified from schools and other sources as one who might not, for various reasons, be remembered at Christmas," Rev. Seibert said. "These children are provided with clothing, gifts, and family food boxes. Of the 285 children who qualified this year, only about half are remaining." Anyone who wants to participate may select an angel from the tree at FUMC, register in the signup book, then purchase and wrap the presents and return them to the church by Monday, December 4.
