Maybe some responsibility can be passed on

TO THE EDITOR:

I agree with Pembroke Pope III.

Why would anyone leave deer carcasses lying near our county

dumpsters? We welcome hunters to the area, however, every year during hunting season some inconsiderate hunter with a gun - pardon me, I meant to say some exuberant sportsman enchanted by nature does less than a complete job of cleaning up after the thrill of the hunt.

Although I'm not a hunter myself, I recognize there can be proper venues and methods. Sadly, like many other things in life, there are those within the group who give it a bad name.

It's not likely that the irresponsible ones will be reading Pembroke's article or this little note, but perhaps the responsible ones can pass the word.
