Native Americans teach students
Second graders at Washington-Wilkes Primary School wrapped up their unit about Native Americans on October 31 with a trip to Lake Olmstead in Augusta. "Touch the Earth" presented a Native American exhibit with many demonstrations of how the Native Americans lived. The students were able to see first-hand what life was like for Native Americans and some students participated in live demonstrations. The students have been studying a unit on Native Americans in Sandra Gammon's second grade lab class. Pictured with the dancers of "Touch the Earth" are (l-r) Connor Powell, Christopher Wooten, Antavious Sturgies, and Tramad Daniels.
