Washington's Liz Grant crowned Briarwood's Homecoming Queen

Liz Grant of Washington was crowned homecoming queen during halftime at Briarwood Academy's football game on November 2.

The 2006 homecoming queen is a senior at Briarwood, plays softball for the Lady Bucs, and was a captain of this year's team. She was recognized as All Region Catcher for 1AA, All State Catcher for AA, and played in the GISA All Star game at Mount de Sales Academy. She is also a member of the foot-

ball, basketball, and competition cheerleading squads. She serves as manager for the Running Bucs basketball team and is co-editor of the yearbook. She also serves as vicepresident of the Watson-Brown Foundation Junior Board.

She is the daughter of Bill and Melissa Grant of Washington.

The homecoming game was Briarwood's 32nd homecoming and was celebrated with a 14-7 win over Pinecrest Academy of Cumming.
