Improv comedy is coming to Washington.

The Washington Little Theater Company announced Wednesday that it has booked nationally renowned Atlanta-based improvisational comedy act, Dad's Garage, to perform at the theater December 2 and 3.

"This is an awesome opportunity!" said Nora Dukes, president of the Board of Directors for the theater. There will only be three shows, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday December 2, and 3 p.m. on Sunday. "This is a chance for us to bring world-class comedy

into the theater and the city. They have changed the face of Atlanta theater," Dukes said. Dad's Garage has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, the Miami Improv Festival, The Amsterdam Improv Festival, and the Charleston Comedy Festival.

To reserve tickets, call the theater reservation line at 706-678-9582. "Tickets will go fast due to Dad's Garage's regional followers," Dukes said. The shows are being sponsored by WXKT/WLOV radio and the Washington-Wilkes Arts Foundation.
