Fanning to return after tour in Iraq

Capt. Bryan Fanning, son of Dale and Tena Thomas and Jeff Fanning of Washington, has completed his tour in Iraq. Capt. Fanning returned to Baumholder, Germany, on October 31 with his unit, the 1st armored division, 4/27 Field Artillery, 2nd Brigade Combact Team. The unit had been in Iraq since November 2005.

Upon his return to Germany, Capt. Fanning was awarded his captain's pin on November 8. He and his wife, Cristin, are expected to return to the states in June 2007. At that time he will be stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Capt. Fanning is the grandson of Thomas Fanning and Mr. and Mrs. Jene Moore of Washington.
