HOSA officers attend Leadership Conference

The officers of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) at Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School attended the 30th Anniversary of the Georgia HOSA Fall Leadership Conference in Athens on Wednesday, November 8. Over 900 students from across Georgia met in the Classic Center and were welcomed by the Georgia State HOSA President, Ryan Barrett. James Woodard, CTAE (Career, Technical and Agriculture Education) State Director and Scott Carey, CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) State Director also welcomed the students and added special comments. After the opening ceremonies, students attended workshops presented by "TriLeadership" motivational speakers. Workshops included Climb On! Success; Loveworks: Lead the Life You Love!; You University; and Image is Everything. Students attending were (left to right) Joni Bruce, Ashley Ingram, Debra Williamson, and Quijona Yarbrough.
