Sara Ellen Darden Young

A funeral mass for Sara Ellen Darden Young, 93, of Tignall, was held Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Washington, with Father Chris Williamson as Celebrant. Interment was in Arlington Memorial Park, Atlanta, with Father John Conway as Celebrant. She died November 11.

Mrs. Darden was a native of Taliaferro County and was the daughter of the late Leona Pate and George B. Darden. She was the widow of Clyde L. Young. She was a retired insurance underwriter and a member

of Christ The King Catholic Church in Atlanta where she had lived most of her life.

Survivors include three sisters, Margaret Darden, Crawfordville, Catherine D. Hopkins, Washington, and Belle Frances Darden, Decatur; and a brother, Pat Darden, Sharon.

Memorials may be made to Harper's Personal Care Home, 173 N. Hulin Avenue, Tignall 30668.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
