Robert Travis Fisher Graveside services for Robert Travis Fisher, 73, of Fisher Road, Washington, were held Sunday, November 19, 2006, at Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating. He died Friday, November 17, at his home. Mr. Fisher was a native of Rabun County and had lived in Wilkes County most of his life. He was retired from construction work and was the widower of Louise Howard Fisher. He was the son of the late Robert Vincent Fisher and Myrtle Dianna Alley Fisher. Survivors include his son, Jimmy Fisher, Crawfordville; a daughter, Dianne F. Lamar, Tignall; three stepsons, Hal Howard, Lee Howard, and Ricky Howard, all of Washington; three step-daughters, Carolyn Brown, Sandersville, Jean Brown, Covington, and Marie Payne, Covington; three sisters Caroline Owens and Nell Silvers, Maggie Valley, N.C., and June Evans, Hazelwood, N.C.; a brother, Arthur Fisher of Rabun County; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
