Lacey Denise Starr to marry Emerson Grant Norman March 31

Lacey Denise Starr Emerson Grant Norman
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford J. Starr, Jr., of Blakely announce the engagement of their daughter, Lacey Denise, to Emerson Grant Norman, son of Robert B. Norman of Lincolnton and Mrs. Catherine Lynn McNeill of North Augusta, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lois Barefield and the late William A. Barefield of Oakwood and Mrs. Aline Starr and the late Clifford J. Starr of Blakely.

A 1998 honor graduate of Early County High School, Miss Starr graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Mercer University in 2002. She then attended Mercer University Law School where she received her J.D. in 2005. After passing the Georgia Bar, Miss Starr moved to Boston, Mass., where she attended Boston University and graduated in May, 2006, with an LL.M. (Masters of Law) in Tax. She is currently working with KPMG, an accounting and consulting firm in Boston, as a tax specialist in their state and local tax department.

Mr. Norman is the grandson of the late Col. and Mrs. William A. Cauthen of Washington and the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Norman of Lincolnton.

A l998 graduate of The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn., Mr. Norman graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Mercer University in 2002. He is a member of the Eta chapter of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Upon graduation, Mr. Norman moved to Boston, Mass., where he is currently employed as a senior budget analyst at MFS Investment Management. He is also attending Suffolk University and will graduate with a Masters of Science in Finance in 2007.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m. at Westview United Methodist Church in Blakely.
