Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gunter Jr. honored at anniversary dinner

Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gunter Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gunter Jr. were honored on the occasion of their 55th wedding anniversary at a dinner at their home on Sunday, November 12. Hosts for the occasion were their children and granddaughter, Edward (BB) Gunter and Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Gunter and Anna Claire; also, cousin, Catherine Hessert, and nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Gunter.

Mr. and Mrs. Gunter were married on November 11, 1951, in Mc- Cormick, S.C.

The house was festively decorated in a fall motif for the occasion. The living room mantel was centered with a fruit-filled cornucopia amid colorful leaves.

The dining table was centered with a fresh bouquet of goldenrod, Alstroemeria lilies, miniature carnations, chrysanthemums and roses in shades of yellow, bronze and rust. The arrangement centered a tone-

on-tone table square and was flanked by rust candles in Thanksgiving candleholders. Colorful patchwork mats completed the table design.

Another table in the kitchen was covered in yellow lace and centered with gourds with fall leaves and miniature carnations.

Everyone enjoyed a bountiful dinner of chicken casserole, green beans, scalloped potatoes, macaroni and cheese, grape salad, cranberry sauce, fresh vegetables, rolls, tea and desserts of German Chocolate and lemon pound cake served from the sideboard banked with fruit, leaves and gourds.

Other guests with the Gunters and hosts were Mrs. Lester Gunter, Mrs. Ann Gunter, Mrs. Mary Ann Bentley, Sally Philbrick, Gene Blackmon and Larry Jordan and daughter, Holly.
