Episcopal Church offering traditional luncheon Dec. 2

The Episcopal Church Women of the Church of the Mediator will be serving their traditional luncheon on Saturday, December 2, at 11:30 a.m. at the Parish House. The Country Kitchen, offering baked goods, candies, condiments, jellies, and handcrafted items, will open at 10:30 a.m.

Proceeds from the annual event go toward charitable giving and parish needs that are not met in the operating budget. The cost of the luncheon is still $8.00, and take-outs are available. Parking space can be found behind the Parish House off Episcopal Way.

The luncheon tables will be decorated for Christmas, and some Christmas items will be for sale. The event follows Downtown Washington's Candlelight Shopping and precedes the Historical Foundation's Holiday Tour of Homes.

Over the past 50 years, it has been an integral part of Washington- Wilkes' Christmas celebration. The public is invited.
