Run-off election set for Tuesday

The General Election Run-off for Public Service Commissioner will be held on Teusday, December 5. Candidates are David L. Burgess, incumbent, Democrat; and Chuck Eaton, Republican.

Advance voting at the courthouse for all precincts began Monday, November 27, and will end on Friday, December 1. The voting is on the third floor of the courthouse in the office of the Voter Registrar. The office will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

To vote a paper ballot by mail, voters should contact the Registrar's

office for information on obtaining an application for a ballot by mail. Applications are available from the Registrar's office and can also be found online. The deadline for a paper ballot to be mailed to a voter is Friday, December 1.

Anyone wishing to vote at the polls on election day will find regular polling locations open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

For more information on voting procedures, registered voters may call 706-678-1850 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
