October 9 is Kiwanis Day
Kiwanis Club President Bill Steed holds a framed proclamation received from the City of Washington recognizing the Club for its contribution during the state-wide "Hands on Georgia" civic improvement effort. The proclamation made October 9, 2006, "Kiwanis Club of Washington Appreciation Day." The distinction was made in recognition of the club's significant improvements to the city's Simpson and Booker playgrounds.
