Daniel Vance Roberts Memorial services for Daniel Vance Roberts, 87, of Elberton Road, Tignall, were held Sunday, November 26, 2006, at the Holly Springs Baptist Church, Hartwell, with Rev. Donnie Berry officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Friday, November 24, at his home. Mr. Roberts was a native of Hart County and was the son of the late Daniel Crawford Roberts and Orrie Wilbanks Roberts. He was the retired owner and operator of AG Grocery in Bowman after 25 years and of Roberts ABC Store in Washington. He was later affiliated with Bi- Lo stores for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church and was a former Gideon. Survivors include his wife, Lettie Mae Mize Roberts of Tignall; two sons, Daniel Vance Roberts Jr., Lookout Mountain, and Samuel Pope Roberts, Tignall; a sister, Bobbie Dale Allen, Bogart; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Strickland Funeral Home Hartwell Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
