Upside down on Robert Toombs
Washington Police officers are investigating an accident early Sunday morning in which a car driven by Willie J. Taylor, 56, of Washington crashed on East Robert Toombs Avenue. The driver of the east-bound car apparently missed the curve on Robert Toombs at Poplar Drive, jumped the far left curb, destroyed a historic marker and a small tree, then flipped and landed upside down in the road in front of the Washington Historical Museum. Taylor and passenger Randy Mickens were transported to Wills Memorial Hospital for treatment.
