Frances Wheelis WOM group observes Week of Prayer on Dec. 4

The Frances Wheelis Women on Mission met Monday evening, December 4, in the Jesse Mercer Chapel of the First Baptist for its observance of the Week of Prayer for International Missions.

Melanie Wells, vice-facilitator, presided and Gail Hunter read the WMU Watchword.

Teresa Bishop, mission support chairman, presented the Week of Prayer for International Missions program featuring people groups of West Africa and missionaries who serve in those areas. She closed in prayer for these missionaries.

During the business meeting plans were made for the annual caroling and soup supper as well as numerous mission action projects for the month of December.

Mrs. Bishop led the missionary prayer calendar and Judy Bland offered the closing prayer for the missionaries and those with special needs in the community.

Present were Teresa Bishop, Melanie Wells, Gail Hunter, Judy Bland, Sue Lance, Elizabeth Pope, Cheryl Edwards and Susan Pope.
