Matt Shedd celebrates seventh birthday Nov. 18
Matt was honored with a party at the Mary Callaway Burton Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church on Saturday, November 11. A Disney "Cars" theme was used and children enjoyed painting their own wooden car or truck. Matt's guests enjoyed an assortment of party foods with his "Cars" cake and ice cream. The children also enjoyed bursting a #7 pinata and playing on the playground. Celebrating with Matt and his parents were his brothers, Mil and Morgan; grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. W. C. Bentley and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Shedd; Mrs. Tim Stewart, Mrs. Paul Wright and Ava, Mrs. John Mack, J.T. and Mary Kathryn, Mrs. Jason Brock, Hunter, Bailey and Levi, Mrs. Phil Tanner, Wes and Brett, Colton Bearse, Walker Moore and Curt Gammon. On his birthday Matt enjoyed a camping trip with his parents and his brother, Mil's Webelos Cub Scout group to the Knox Scout Reservation in Lincoln County. Matt and Logan Denard were each honored with a brownie cake that was enjoyed by each boy attending the camping trip.
Matt celebrated with his first grade class at the Washington- Wilkes Primary School on November 20. Children enjoyed Rice Krispie Treats, Cheetos, Sprite and goody bags.
