Pope Center construction continues
Workers are making progress on the city of Washington’s million-dollar renovation effort to turn the Edward Pope Community Center into a larger, more useful convention center. Slabs for the three breakout rooms have been poured, and workers have repaired some old termite damage in the former breezeway while expanding the size and number of restrooms for the facility.
