Rev. and Mrs. O’Neil Martin and a number of members of Clifford’s Grove Baptist Church attended the pre-kindergarten program at the First Baptist Church Wednesday night. Ryan Hucke was in the play. He is the son of Jeri Lynn and Chris Hucke and great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Drinkard of Ficklen. There are only a few young children in our church but we enjoy the ones who come. We have two babies born this year and they come every Sunday and are so good and such a joy to everyone. They are Allie Hucke and Samuel Moon, son of Karman and John Moon. His proud grandparents are Charles and Dianne Pullen. Willard Lance visited Rev. and Mrs. John Lance in Crawfordville last Monday morning.

Mrs. James Sherrer joined James Sherrer and attended prayer meeting at the Wilkes County Baptist Church Wednesday night. They are having a Christmas program this Sunday at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer, Ray and Gay Branham and Charlie attended the Tiger Band holiday celebration featuring the Washington- Wilkes Middle School and High School Bands at the high school gymnasium Thursday night. Whitney Branham is a saxophonist in the seventh grade band. Charles Hopkins of Elberton spent Tuesday afternoon with his mother, Mrs. Iris Dyson. Mrs. Juanita Bradford, Mrs. John Sutherland and Terry Bradford went to Doctors Hospital Friday to be with Dennis Bradford who had leg surgery. He returned to his home in Thomson Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins, Hannah and Stephanie of Augusta spent the weekend with Mrs. Evans Davis. Mrs. Scoggins also stayed Sunday night and Sue carried her home Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer and Mrs. Iris Dyson were among the seniors who enjoyed the Christmas luncheon at Tignall Baptist Church Friday. The food was delicious and the entertainment was great. Rev. Jerry Wilson of Central Baptist Church in Augusta was the speaker

and he kept us laughing. He also played the keyboard and guitar. He and his wife sang several songs. Whitney Branham was among the youth group of Tignall Baptist Church who visited Harper’s Personal Care Home Saturday night and sang Christmas carols to the ladies there. After that they went to the cabin of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Long for fun and refreshments. Charlie Branham visited Saturday night with Ryan Colvard. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer visited Mr. and Mrs. Bud Spinks and Mrs. Louise Glenn in Carlton Friday afternoon.
