Willie D. Anderson

Funeral services for Willie D. Anderson, 94, of Tignall were held Saturday, December 9, 2006, at the Reeves Chapel Baptist Church, Tignall, with Rev. M.W. Gresham officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died December 2.

Mrs. Anderson was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Katie Mae and George Bennie Cade. She was the widow of Eddie Anderson and a member of the Cherry Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Claude Anderson and Eddie Anderson,

both of Tignall; four daughters, Katie M. Duburke, Brooklyn, N.Y., Mary E. Anderson, Atlanta, Willie Eva Fortson, Tignall, and Eunice Erskine of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Mary D. Huff, Tignall; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Willie Frank Wingfield, James Thomas Clark, Andre Butler, Willie Frank Bufford, Esau Williams, and Thomas Gresham.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
