Elizabeth Sutton Harper to wed Jeffrey Wayne Brannen January 6

Elizabeth Sutton Harper
Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Earl Harper of Macon announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Sutton, to Jeffrey Wayne Brannen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wayne Brannen of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Nathan Bennett of Macon and the late Mr. Bennett and Mrs. Paul Sutton Harper of Tignall and the late Mr. Harper.

Miss Harper is a 2001 honor graduate of First Presbyterian Day School in Macon and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia where she graduated magna cum laude, with honors. She is currently attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Miss., pursuing dual Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Biblical Studies. Miss Harper is employed by First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Miss.

Mr. Brannen is the grandson of Vincent Blaine Nelson and the late Mrs. Nelson of Harlan, Iowa, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Truett Groner Brannen of Dallas, Tex.

He is a graduate of Heidelberg American High School in Heidelgreenery, berg, Ger., and has served in the United States Army for eight years including a tour of duty in Korea and one in Afghanistan. Mr. Brannen graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in History and a minor in Art. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Miss., and is employed by Trinity Presbyterian Church, also in Jackson.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, January 6, at the First Presbyterian Church in Macon.
