Washington Square Cafe opens
Ed and Jackie Cook, surrounded by friends and Chamber of Commerce members, cut the ribbon Saturday morning on their new restaurant, the Washington Square Cafe on the east side of The Square. The cafe offers old-fashioned Southern cooking, served up family-style. “We welcome Ed and Jackie to the business community,” said Chamber of Commerce’s Donna Hardy. “And we wish them the best of success.”
