Fountain to speak at Reese Booker annual program

The Reese J. Booker Scholarship Committee will have its annual program on Sunday, December 24, at 6 p.m. The program will be held at the Marks Tabernacle Baptist Church on Lexington Av e n u e , Washington.

T h e g u e s t s p e a k e r for the program will be 12- year-old Minister Torey Fountain from the Torey Fountain Youth Ministries in Atlanta. The minister, who began preaching at the age of five, is a member of Fairfield Baptist Church in Lithonia where Rev. Michael Benton is the pastor. He serves on the ministerial staff and drama ministry and sings with the youth praise team and youth choir. He has been preaching since 1999 and has been licensed since July 2003.

Minister Torey is in the seventh grade and is an “A” student. He loves to ride his bike, play Uno Attack, collect cars, and sing and listen to music. He likes preaching best. His favorite scripture is John 3:16.

The service is open to the public. Guest churches and choirs invited are Heard’s Chapel, Flint Hill, Gibson Grove, Trinity, Marks Tabernacle, Cherry Grove, New Springhill, Transforming Life Ministries, Washington Church of Christ, Highway 17, Church of Christ, Tignall, New Covenant, Harvest Time, Tower of Refuge, Ministries of Love, Booker’s Chapel, New Salem, Shady Grove, White Rock, Clifford Grove, Springfield, Level Hill, Black Rock, Macedonia, Pleasant Grove, Rayle, Pleasant Grove, Warrenton, New Saints, Reeves Chapel, Mulberry, Bethlehem, Rocky Mount, New Tabernacle, Tabernacle, Lincolnton, Young Chapel, New Sutton’s Temple, Jackson Chapel, Hilliard Station, Mt. Olive, Pole Branch, Twin Oak, Mt. Nebo, Lyonsville, New Ford, Mt. Carmel, Pompey’s Chapel, Zoar, True Light, Washington Seventh Day Adventist, Crawfordville Holiness, Church of the Lord Jesus, Christ City of Prayer, Pauline Chapel, Faith Christian Center, Jehovah’s Witness, Solomon’s Pool, Laborers and Harvest Ministries, The Word Is Life Church, and others.

The purpose of the program is to aid college students.
