Mayor, Council host dinner to honor service personnel

In an effort to show appreciation for their many contributions to our community, the City of Tignall, Mayor Richard Gammon, and the council members hosted a steak dinner for the county and community service people.

The groups and individuals honored and present were: Tignall Fire Department; Alan Poss of the Washington Fire Department; Blake Thompson, Wilkes County EMS; Commission Chairman Sam Moore; Assistant David Tyler; Commissioner Jerry Stover; Tignall Police Chief Larry Fort; Greg Rogers and Troy Land of the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office; Clyde Davis, superintendent, Water Department,

City of Tignall; Fernando Vasquez, maintenance, City of Tignall; Linda Daniels and Jerry Scott, secretaries for the City of Tignall; Michael Horgan, Attorney, City of Tignall; and Chip Hardin, Judge, City of Tignall.

Albert Huyck gave thanks for the meal as well as thanks to those being honored.

Even though members of the Tignall Volunteer Fire Department were honorees on this occasion, they also prepared the steak dinner with all the trimmings. Thank you to everyone honored. Just know without individuals as yourself our community would not be what it is today.
