A classic Lincoln up in flames
Darrell Wynn’s pride and joy, a 1979 Lincoln Mark V, goes up in flames last week as Washington-Wilkes firefighters rush to put the fire out before it spread to the Norman Street home very close by. Wynn said he was working on the car behind his grandmother’s home and had left. When he came back, the car was in flames. Mark Justice and David Wilson with Wilkes EMS noticed the smoke from the burning car, stopped and reported it to the 911 center. No one was injured in the home, and thanks to quick work by firefighters, there was little or no damage to the home.
