Paranormal investigators to seek local ghosts at Fitzpatrick Hotel during Jan. 19-21 meeting
Will paranormal investigators and amateur ghost hunters find any spooky guests at the Jan. 19-21conference at The Fitzpatrick? Is it possible that someone may have checked in to The Fitzpatrick Hotel a hundred years ago - and never checked out?
Paranormal investigators will be in Washington for a weekend later this month for a conference aimed at finding ghosts in the Victorian hotel built in 1898. "The weekend includes a historical tour, workshops, a real live paranormal investigation and a séance," said organizer and medium Deborah Senger.
Highlight of the weekend, she said, would be the participation of paranormal investigator Janice Oberding who will lead participants on the first known ghost-hunting effort ever attempted at The Fitzpatrick
"This is a unique opportunity for the general public to explore the paranormal," Senger said. "All beginners, amateurs, and experienced ghost hunters are welcome to join these elite investigators."
In addition to Oberding, mystic and writer Gayle Clayton, along with certified medium Paula Schermerhorn and Senger will participate.
The tentative schedule includes private readings Friday evening, workshops, the actual investigation, and a séance Saturday, with a presentation of the findings on Sunday morning at 9.
