Our children and youth at Phillips Mill Baptist Church and their leaders, which included some of their parents, blessed many hearts during the Christmas season.
Tuesday evening, December 19, Bes Moore, our music director who has a special kind of love for children of all ages, drove the church van and carried a nice group, which included several mothers, around singing Christmas carols.
They stopped at about a dozen homes, bringing many smiles of cheer. The evening's fun was topped off at McDonald's enjoying supper as a treat from Bes. Thank you, Bes.
Wednesday night, December 20, the youth met early at the church to bake cookies with Donna Olson to share.
Thursday night, December 21, Phillips Mill's youth enjoyed an outing together again riding in the church van where Sherri McAvoy carried them different places where they enjoyed food and fellowship.
Their first stop was at the home of Mallory Waller for refreshments. Second stop was the home of Steve and Donna Olson for salad. The third stop was at the Georgia Baptist Association Mission Center where Becky Mann and Mary Jane Scarborough served spaghetti.
Then they went to the new home of Benji and Sherri McAvoy for dessert and a party where families picked them up.
